Amsterdam BeatClub

Amsterdam BeatClub (est. 2003, produced by Ir. Vendermeulen) is known for promoting the ultracool music of the fifties and sixties era. It is inspired by The Beat Generation Jazz, Alan Freed's 50's Big Beat, 60's Beat Culture and early tv shows like 'Beat Club' & 'The !!!! Beat'. Many clubnights and festivals are organized at different venues and apart from deejays & live-music the parties often feature Go-Go Dancers, Burlesque performers, sideshows and cult veejay-visuals.

Expect an un-Beat-able Cocktail of the very best Vintage Music!
Greasy Soul, Sleazy Rhythm ‘n Blues, Frantic Rock ‘n Roll, Swingin' Sixties Sounds, Mod-Jazz, Beat, Boogaloo, Twist à-GoGo, Garage Punk, FreakBeat, YéYé, Exotica, Finger Poppin' Popcorn, Ska, Surf, Big Band Jive and Cool Cover versions.

CC Jerome Trio (Rock 'n Roll)

Laura Ashleigh, aka Miss.L.A, is a young Rhythm 'n Blues / Rockabilly / Soul singer from Bradford UK. Her raw voice and stage presence are strongly reminiscent of a young Brenda Lee, Wanda Jackson and Ruth Brown. On the setlist are songs such as Wang Dang Doodle, Fujiyama Mama, What a Man and Sweet Nothings. The Savoys recently embarked on a new project with her, the 1st LP and 7" will be released later this year.

The Savoys were founded by guitar virtuoso CC Jerome.
CC has been touring the international rhythm 'n blues and rock 'n roll circuit for years and has built up a great name in the scene. In addition to CC Jerome, The Savoys consists of acclaimed musicians, including horns, organ, bass and drums. The performances are always a big swingin' party.

Tonight the CC Jerome Trio will open with a dynamic r'nr set!

Natty Bo is an internationally known DJ, MC, singer and dancer. He grew up in Thamesmead, South East London and started collecting records at an early age. As a singer he is a great performer. Supported by the Savoys, you can expect a wonderful mix of swing jazz, jump blues, ska, rocksteady, calypso, boogaloo, gospel and genuine rhythm 'n blues! Recently some songs were recorded for the Tardam Records label, the first single will be officially released tonight: 16 Tons / Sahara!

Otis Gayle was born in 1946 in Kingston, Jamaica. He started his musical career as a singer with The Virtues and Byron Lee & the Dragonaires. Gayle then started his solo career and in particular his version of 'I'll Be Around' for Coxsone Dodd (Studio Room One) became a success in 1972. In 1983 he received a Juno award. His hit 'Heaven Will Need To Have Delivered You' was certified as the very best Reggae Song. The singer also accompanied artists such as Barry White, Joe Tex and Jackie Mittoo. His status as one of rocksteady's pioneers was discovered by a new generation in 2001 when the revival label Spirit Jazz released "Studio Room One Soul", featuring Gayle's beautiful interpretation of 'I'll Be Around'.
