‘I’m feelin’ great.. on Route ’68!’Celebrating 15 years of AMSTERDAM BEATCLUB & 50 years of PARADISO!During this great festival, we're celebrating 15 years of AMSTERDAM BEATCLUB-parties, together with 50 years of PARADISO.. It'll be a tribute to the fabulous fifties & sixties!16:00 - 19:00In daytime, Paradiso's Main Hall will be turned into one big 50's rock 'n roll ballroom: Bluesband The Possum Belly Overalls will kick off the festival, followed by a rock 'n roll workshop by Clandestien & jive-band Torello's Jive Bugs & 50's deejays.The Giant Tiki Bar will provide refreshing cocktails!In the hall there is a cozy 50's / 60's fleamarket, recordhop and barbershop. Pokey LaFarge klinkt alsof hij al een jaar of tachtig aan de oever van de Mississippi zit te spelen op zijn banjo, met zijn band, die het aanvullen met onder meer gitaar, mondharmonica, viool en bas. Het is bijna niet te geloven dat de aanstekelijke jazz, ragtime, country blues en western swing wordt voortgebracht door de groep jonge mannen met in het midden Pokey LaFarge.
